In this workshop we looked at how to apply colour using the Pantone swatch books and creating and saving our own swatch palettes.
The first thing we had to do was remove all the pre set swatches, you can do this by selecting all unused swatches in the swatch menu.
One way of creating colour swatches was to use the eye dropper menu where the colour selector comes up, once you have selected a colour you can save it as a swatch in your swatch palette.
When you have saved a swatch you can change the viewings so that you can see the CMYK percentages and you can also give your swatches names.
The other way of doing it is to open up the full colour swatch book which means you can pick colours easier and save them in your personalised swatch palette.
Once you have finished filling your new swatch palette you can go to the save menu, save swatch library and so you can go back to it next time you are designing something for the same client etc.
