Bacardi brief menu design development

These are some initial ideas for the Bacardi rum run menu. They all need developing a lot more. The colour scheme is based around the Bacardi logo.

I decided to change the format of the menu so that it felt more masculine.

The square format works a lot better than the taller one.

OUGD301 Submission photos/ Chocolot Brief

These are the photos from my Chocolot brief, they were taken in the photography studio with Tungsten lighting. I am glad I took the time to take professional looking photos as these will be going onto my submission boards and eventually in my portfolio.

I have not really used the photography studio before to take photos of my work like this, so it took a while to get the hang of setting the camera up for the lighting and different sets.

I tried to take a few different shots for each set of products so I had a big choice to choose from and to make sure I got the best shot possible. It was useful to get shots close up and full product shots to clearly show my work.

The colours have come out really well with the lighting which is good as this was really the most important concept of this particular brief.

Puffin brief final book cover and belly band

These are screen shots for the final book cover and belly band. The belly band is coloured to help communicate the fact that the book cover can be coloured in.

I also decided to make some bookmarks for the activity pack.

I tried out different styles to see which ones would work best. These ones were made for colouring in.

These ones were made so they could sit on the page like a flap.

Puffin brief character masks and colouring in sheets

These masks and colouring in sheets are based on the exact same images as the original character designs.

With the colouring in sheets I used the same imagery again and added text which is the same typeface as the book cover.
